What is COBIGA?
The COBIGA (Corredor Biológico La Gamba) project connects the lowland rainforests of the Golfo Dulce with the mountain rainforests of the Fila Cal in Costa Rica, creating an important natural corridor to strengthen biodiversity. By protecting and reconnecting the forest areas, the fragmentation of the rainforest is prevented and habitats for animals and plants are preserved. At the same time, reforestation promotes the renaturation of degraded areas, reduces erosion and creates new habitats. Every storage unit rented from STORE ROOM also indirectly supports the protection of this ecosystem.
In concrete terms, this means that every storage space rented from STORE ROOM contributes directly to the protection of this unique rainforest and actively contributes to the preservation of this ecosystem.
CO₂-neutral location Vienna South
Our location in Vienna South is an example of modern, sustainable self-storage solutions.
That’s where we start:
- Large photovoltaic system (one of the largest self-consumption systems in Lower Austria)

Sustainable removals with KIBOX
In connection with sustainable storage and relocation solutions, the KIBOX, a STORE ROOM brand, also plays a complementary role.
KIBOX offers reusable moving boxes that can be rented for removals. This provides an alternative to traditional cardboard packaging, which is usually only used once and then disposed of.
The approach significantly reduces packaging waste when moving, as the sturdy boxes can be used several times. In contrast to disposable boxes, this reduces the consumption of resources and avoids waste.
KIBOX thus adds another aspect to the concept of green storage: sustainable solutions – not only for storage, but also for the entire relocation process.
