Flood relief: support for those affected
In calendar weeks 37 and 38 of 2024, Vienna and Lower Austria were hit by devastating floods. Many people were suddenly faced with the challenge of protecting their valuables and furniture from damage.
During this difficult time, the Lower Austrian self-storage company STORE ROOM decided to support those affected with flood relief. Find out more now!
Free storage space for salvaged items
“We offer free space in our storage rooms for items that need to be salvaged or for which there is no room at the moment, for example during a renovation,” says Dominik Schramek from STORE ROOM.
This initiative aims to provide local people with an uncomplicated way to store their belongings safely while they rebuild their homes. The offer is valid for six weeks and can be taken up without a deposit. For those who require assistance beyond this period, STORE ROOM plans to offer at least 50% off the regular rates.
Transport aids for a smooth process
To make it easier for those affected to transport their belongings, STORE ROOM also provides large vans free of charge.
“These can be made ready for collection in Brunn am Gebirge at any time and are available for as long as they are needed,” adds Schramek.
STORE ROOM is also in contact with a relocation partner to clarify whether they can also provide support with vehicles or employees.
“This would give us additional transport resources and even muscle power for putting things away,” Schramek continues.
Together through the crisis
With this initiative, STORE ROOM shows how important it is to stick together and support each other in times of crisis. The free storage and transportation assistance is a small but valuable contribution to overcoming this difficult situation.
